How it works
Your POS stays the place where everything comes together. Orderli makes sure orders and payments land there by themselves.
Your menu comes from the POS
Products, options and price levels come from your POS. In Orderli you add photos, descriptions and allergens.
On the right table
An order lands on the table or table section in your POS and goes on to the bar or kitchen, the way you are used to.
Paying at the table
With POS systems that support it, Orderli fetches the open bill. The guest pays by phone and the payment is booked on the right payment method in your POS.
Sold out means sold out
If you track stock in your POS, Orderli switches sold-out products off by itself, with POS systems that pass it on.
Working without a POS
With Orderli Standalone, orders arrive on an order tablet and print on a receipt printer at the bar or in the kitchen. Handy for a terrace, pop-up or food truck, or while your POS is not connected yet.
Printers and hardwareIn-house software or a local POS
With the Webhook API, Orderli sends every order to your own system. If your POS only runs on your own network, without a cloud connection, the order tablet can act as a bridge.

Frequently asked questions
Does my POS version work?
That depends on the brand and sometimes on the version or licence. Send us the name and, if you know it, the version. We check before you decide anything.
What happens if my POS is offline?
An order can only land in your POS when it is reachable. How Orderli handles that differs per POS. When you go live, we agree what your team does in that case.
Can I keep my own kitchen printers?
Yes. Orders go into your POS and print on the printers your POS already uses for bar and kitchen.
Do I need a POS at all?
No. Without a POS you work with an order tablet and a receipt printer. Many venues start that way and connect their POS later.
