Allergens and dietary needs

# Know what’s in it.

Guests with an allergy filter your menu themselves for what they can’t eat. They choose with confidence, and your team has to check with the kitchen less often.

## Fewer questions at the table, more confidence in the choice.

Allergens sit with every dish, exactly as you record them. Guests look at them on their own phone, at their own pace.

### Recorded per dish, in one table

In the dashboard you record per dish which EU allergens it contains, and whether guests can order it without them through an option. Allergens are a column of their own in your product table, so you update a whole menu in one go.

#### Honest about what is known

Orderli shows exactly what you record, and marks dishes that have no allergen information yet. The menu always asks guests with an allergy to let your team know as well.

### Coming soon: vegan, vegetarian and halal

Before long you can give dishes dietary labels too: vegan, vegetarian, halal and suitable during pregnancy. Anything vegan counts as vegetarian by itself, and guests show only what suits them with a single tap.

#### Coming soon: an age check for alcohol

Drinks with alcohol get a marker of their own, and at checkout guests confirm the age that applies in your country for that drink. Labels such as halal or pregnancy drop away by themselves on alcohol.

What’s also handy is that you can switch a product off straight away when it’s run out. And I think the product information, like allergens, is a big plus too. **Joey Elzas · Coco’s Outback** General manager Entree Magazine · 17 September 2026 Translated from Dutch[Read the article](https://www.entreemagazine.nl/ondernemen/800-gasten-die-willen-bestellen-je-wordt-altijd-snel-geholpen)

## Common questions

Can guests filter the menu by allergen?

Yes. Guests with an allergy filter your menu themselves by what they cannot eat and see per dish what it contains.

Where do I record allergens?

In the dashboard, per dish, as a column of its own in your product table. That lets you update a whole menu at once, with all EU allergens under their official names.

What if nothing is known about a dish yet?

Then the menu marks it. The menu always asks guests with an allergy to mention it to your team as well.
